CIAT is a member of the CGIAR Consortium. CGIAR Research Programs offer new opportunities to strengthen and expand research-for-development partnerships.

CIAT management has established a set of guidelines (under Creative Commons attribution) for creating and maintaining effective partnerships.

In recent years, CIAT has sought to engage more actively with the private sector mainly to enhance the impact of our research across the developing world. Three public-private partnerships in particular are already delivering or promise to yield important results.
