Throughout 2017, we will be celebrating CIAT’s 50th Anniversary and bring together our partners, donors, and people behind CIAT’s achievements, while reflecting on the future of food and agriculture.
The first regional celebrations took place in Hanoi, Vietnam on 3-4 April 2017.

A cocktails reception in celebration of CIAT’s 50th anniversary and 40 years of work on Asian agriculture. Participated in by key partners, the program hosted by the Asia office will commemorate CIAT’s contribution to agriculture in Asia, honor partners, and reiterate CIAT’s research agenda in the region.
Sustainable Agriculture Solutions Fair
Agricultural Genetics Institute grounds, Tu Liem / 09.30AM – 04.30PM
On 4 April 2017, from 9:00AM to 04:30PM on the AGI grounds, Pham Van Dong Street, Hanoi, CIAT, in cooperation with the Agricultural Genetics Institute (AGI), hosted a SUSTAINABLE FOOD FUTURE FAIR.
Themed, “From soil to plate: an agri-market place for eco-efficient ideas, technologies…and foods!” the fair featured:
- An exhibition of CIAT and partners’ technologies and innovations;
- A market place of agricultural produce and food; and
- Exciting and provocative talks and activities relevant to Asian agriculture
Activities on that day include:

10.00 – 11.00 Launch: CIAT Climate Policy Hub
11.00 – 13.00 Panel Discussions
